Engine first
Calculations live in typed domain engines. Presentation components consume results and do not maintain independent formulas.
Assumptions stay visible
Work-week length, overtime thresholds, break treatment, date inclusivity, holiday scope, and other material defaults remain close to the result.
Precision has a reason
Tools preserve calculation precision internally and disclose display rounding where it matters. Financial outputs remain estimates unless a route states a verified jurisdiction and data source.
Edge cases are part of the method
Overnight spans, leap years, daylight-saving transitions, zero values, invalid ranges, and practical input bounds are handled or disclosed—not hidden.
Charts are secondary evidence
A chart must be driven by the same engine output as the main result and include a plain-language summary and data alternative.
Capability claims are literal
Live providers, browser APIs, saved activity, and personal data appear only when the current implementation can support them truthfully.
Planning tools are informational
Pay, mortgage, loan, savings, and return calculations do not replace payroll, lender, tax, legal, or investment advice. Results depend on the inputs and assumptions shown in each tool.
Corrections and review
If a result appears wrong, send the route, inputs, output, expected output, browser, and relevant rule or source. Do not include confidential personal information.
